Vertical Jigging near Tsushima May 20th, 2005

This a trip I have been looking forward too for a long time. The weather finally cooperated with us and the waves were not too high. Our jigging boat was the Hiyoshiomaru a famous jigging boat that has a great reputation right within the city limits.

Mariora city rocks again May 7th, 2005

Every year during the spring time I love heading out to a local spot that I learned about 2 or 3 seasons ago. It's right in the city and the place is called Marinoa city, it produces great fishing opportunities from May to July. For some reason the bass love cruising around this area looking for small shrimps and bait fish. I guess the smaller baits use this area for protection from their predators. The best time we find is late evening just as the sun is setting.

Opening day on the breaker! April 27th, 2005

Jon, Wayne and I all headed out to the local surf breaker bright and early today. The only problem was that the usual lady who sells all the bait and organizes the boat wasn't there, neither was the boat taxi????

My first jigging trip in Japan February 5th, 2005

This is something I've always wanted to try jigging on the Octopus boat and decided this was a great time to go. The winter offers great fishing and you can really get into some great yellowtail fishing. The boat that I went on specializes in large game. Other boats will try for smaller ones but on this boat they really only want the kings of the ocean.
